HUGE Worldwide Book Sale-Fundraiser for Campaign to SHUT DOWN a Fur / Vivisection Breeding Facility!

For the entire remainder of 2017, we are spearheading a massive book sale to help raise funds for an exciting, fantastic new animal liberation campaign!

For EVERY BOOK, in EVERY FORMAT, purchased ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, over HALF [50%] of ALL PROCEEDS will be going directly to SAEN - Stop Animal Exploitation NOW! - to help fund their exciting new campaign targeting a large fur/vivisection breeding facility! Scroll down on this page until you see the book cover images for details and purchasing instructions.

We've raised over $1,200 in the last couple years for various groups and social issues with this method, but this time we're upping the ante bigtime to hopefully [with your help!] make this fundraiser by far the most successful yet. If you're already on board, scroll down to the bottom to participate; but first, I'd like to describe the campaign and its tremendous importance.

SAEN [Stop Animal Exploitation NOW!] is an Ohio-based nonprofit that monitors U.S. research and animal holding facilities; a watchdog-type group that investigates animal breeding farms and research laboratories. They expose the cruelty and atrocious conditions of every facility targeted, often revealing dozens or even hundreds of Animal Welfare Act violations. Then they exert pressure on the USDA to punish these facilities to the absolute maximum possible extent - with the ultimate goal of shutting them down altogether.

Despite SAEN's relatively tiny size and budget - they only have four full-time employees - it is a shockingly effective organization that achieves far greater victories, much more often, than other animal rights groups with substantially bigger budgets and workforces. This means that supporting SAEN is a very cost-efficient way of helping animals trapped in cruel and gruesome research/breeding facilities. They are widely regarded as one of the finest anti-vivisection organizations in America - responsible for closing down Harvard's Primate Research Center, Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Cimcool, the University of Oklahoma's baboon breeding and research program, the Wooster College primate program, and many others.

Our fundraiser is focused on supporting an ambitious and specific new project. SAEN has recently launched a campaign targeting federally regulated Ruby Fur Farm in Iowa. Despite their name, this facility primarily breeds animals to be used in torturous, scientifically bogus, and wasteful animal experimentation; their biggest customer is the US Department of Agriculture [which is tasked with overseeing such facilities . . . conflict of interest much?!] In SAEN's press release announcing the project - which you can read in full below - they reveal that Ruby has broken U.S. anti-cruelty laws nearly two dozen times in the past year alone. USDA inspection reports demonstrate ongoing violations that have disregarded the health and well-being of hundreds of individuals, including dead animals left in enclosures to rot, others infested with insects and swarms of flies, and still others exposed to deadly, excessive heat.

SAEN is now pressuring the USDA to completely terminate Ruby's animal-dealing license, confiscate the several hundred animals, and release them to sanctuaries. SAEN is calling for government regulators to fine Ruby Fur Farm the maximum - $10,000 per infraction/per animal, which could lead to a fine in excess of $1 million.

This is a very important, timely campaign that fully deserves our support and attention - in fact, it has already begun receiving extensive national coverage! Media outlets across the United States are now disseminating the November 10 Associated Press story "Animal Rights Groups Demand Action Against Iowa Fur Farm"

www.washingtonpost.com/national/energy-environment/animal-rights-groups-demand-action-against-iowa-fur-farm/2017/11/10/6cde1f8a-c62e-11e7-9922-4151f5ca6168_story.html?utm_term=.e5c61ce587b6

SAEN believes in and strives for total animal liberation. To wit, here is an excerpt from director and co-founder Michael Budkie's speech at the 2017 National Animal Rights Conference:

We cannot make animal experimentation humane, any more than we can make furs humane, or circuses humane, slaughterhouses humane, or zoos humane. I am an animal rights activist; I don't want clean cages, I want empty ones. I am an animal rights activist; I don't want regulated animal experiments, I want NO ANIMAL EXPERIMENTS! I do not want cage-free eggs, or humane slaughter, because they are both lies - I WANT AN END TO ALL slaughterhouses, ALL egg production! We are not here as apologists for animal industries . . . WE ARE HERE to BURY them!
